First Things First.
When studying eschatology, one of the challenges for many is to stay level headed. If we are not careful in our study of the Bible and apocalyptic literature, we can easily become misguided. It was just one hundred and seventy years ago, a Baptist preacher named William Miller, said that Jesus Christ would return to earth in 1844. With His proclamation, thousands of families sold all their possessions and life's earnings in eager expectation of Christ's return. To their dismay, He did not. This day is forever marked in history as "The Great Disappointment." The Bible proclaims, there is no one who knows the time Christ is to return but God Himself. "Mat 24:36." When we take a close look at the Bible, we see scripture gives us three absolutes pertaining to the Return of Christ.

His Return is Sure.
                      - Jesus Christ is coming again! His Return on earth is a literal physical event that is unstoppable.

His Return is Soon
                     - Rev 22:12 "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

His Return is

1.  A Falling Away
1 Tim 4:1, "Now the spirit speaketh expressively that in the last days men will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devil and some shall depart from the faith."
